Senior Practicing Veterinarian in Anaesthesia
School of Veterinary ScienceKate enjoyed working in mixed veterinary practice before pursuing an internship and residency in veterinary anaesthesia at the University of Cambridge in 2017. She became a European and RCVS recognised Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2022 and has worked in private small animal and equine referral anaesthesia departments in the UK. She is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and in 2024 moved to Massey University in New Zealand to return to an educational role. She works with a wide variety of species and clinical cases in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital and is particularly dedicated to developing the next generation of vets during their final year anaesthesia rotations. She co-ordinates the rotating internship programme in the hospital and supervises residents during their ECVAA and ACVAA anaesthesia residency programs at the university. She is actively engaged in clinical research and is currently working torawrds her PhD.
