Paige Koedijk BD

Lecturer - Concept Design

School of Design

Paige Koedijk’s research and practice entertainingly marries the fields of social intervention and narrative design. She has been lead creative on several strategic public awareness projects in collaboration with Industry, Academia and Government Agencies. Separate commissions in 2021 by agencies World Wildlife Fund New Zealand and Department of Conservation aimed to present otherwise dry information through the format of engaging animations to the public concerning the issues of declining quality of waterways and soil and sedimentation, respectively. Paige remains active in the field of edutainment through her work with children’s animation, predominantly as a story artist, on projects concerned with depicting characters engaging with safe, fun and humorous activities to inspire and educate developing minds. Recently, 2025 saw Paige completing her Master of Design that explored the strength that a resilient community has in a state of emergency, through a tongue-in-cheek zombie scenario. Sensationally illustrated, this printed fictional account playfully engages readers to consider their own place within their community and hopes to inspire uptake in neighbourly relations.
